The Science Museum in London, UK is currently assembling an exhibition on the history of electronic music, a public history project that involves the collaboration of numerous artists, writers, and technical specialists from outside the museum: http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/galleries/oramics.aspx. The exhibition will open now in October, and they're currently looking for images that will illustrate the history of electronica from the 1950s to the present day. These images will form part of our display, accompanying a collection of electronic instruments including the Oramics machine and the VCS3 synthesizer. Knowing the long and famous association between Ken Hensley and the Moog synthesizer, they want to include some images of him as well, specifically photographs of the Minimoog being played in concert, preferably in the 70s or early 80s. They are needed in fairly high quality, high resolution images because they plan to blow them up significantly for display. Anyone can help? Please let us know! |

A new update from Ken's desk: "Hi everyone ... first of all I want to thank you all so much for the birthday greetings. i did read them all but I am sorry that I don´t have time to reply to each one personally. There is a lot of stuff happening for the next year or so ... please stay tuned here for the updates. Sadly... My dear friend, partner, co-producer and engineer Dani Saiz suffered a badly broken leg in a motor cycle accident last Friday. Some Spanish idiot ran a red light and... There you go! He is (understandably) in a lot of pain but it could have been worse and he will get better. This will obviously have an impact on our mastering and manufacturing schedule for Love & Other Mysteries but we are working on that now so please stay close for updates. Much love, |
